First encounter

First time I met Norman was at BEIS Abbey Orchard site on a Saturday day shift.  When we got chatting we introduced each other and I learnt he was 71 years old back then. Working with him was relaxing, humourous and I learnt a few things from him that day. My takeaway on that day was when he mentioned about his house which he built back home in his native country. He was very happy and filled with joy talking about it.

He described the living room as very large and compared it to some portion of the hall at Abbey Orchard where we were. When I asked him why so large, he replied " so me and my friends can shout at each other when we are sitting across and chatting". We both laughed out loud and I was very happy for him for that achievement alone. He will be fondly remembered. Adieu Norman. May your soul rest in eternal peace.
